Just quickly stopping by to wish everyone a happy Halloween
and to post an entry for this week’s Make It Monday, using inlaid die cuts.
The design is simple, but when making multiples with all of
the die cuts involved, I don’t think I could have added more and mailed the
cards on time. Brianna saw me cranking the handle of my Cuttlebug and asked if
there wasn’t a motorized version I could buy. She is ever so practical.
To me, what makes this card is the patterned paper used for
the eyes, mouth and stem. That detail added a little bit of whimsy to the
pumpkin. And, with shifting the triangle dies ever so slightly, each pumpkin
had its own personality.
I live on a busy street, so only the most diehard
trick-or-treaters, adolescent boys, make it to my door. I’ve been tempted to
shut off the floodlights, since the buying of candy, etc. seems almost too much
trouble for two or three kids, but I just cannot allow myself to turn into that
old fart each neighborhood has. Hope you get lots of children in fun and
original costumes gracing your door.

Love your pumpkin cards with their individual faces. They look awesome with the orange polka dot pumpkins & black herringbone faces. Got a chuckle out of your post about your neighborhood. They have to cross a bridge and walk a long driveway to our house, and it's usually dark & rainy. If I was a kid, I'd go to the housing developments instead. : )
Adorable! Perfect inlay eyes and scraggly tooth smile! We are the old folks of the neighborhood, who close the shutters and turn off the lights. We live in the country, and why walk a mile between each house? Usually end up in daughter's neighborhood handing out candy while the grandkids go T &T.

Your choice of die for this challenge is perfect, love the pumpkin! I have this die too, but seldom use it. We live in the country and don't get any trick or treaters, which is fine but it would be fun to see the costumes. Thanks for all your wonderful comments. I signed up to be a follower.
