Rather than explain this month’s PTI blog hop theme, I
decided to rely on the expression that a picture is worth a thousand words.
Here’s the picture:
Because I am in the midst of organizing and purging my paper
crafting supplies, I didn’t think I’d be able to participate in the blog hop. I
desperately needed a break from making difficult decisions, such as “should I
keep this paper that I haven’t used in over a year or should I put it in the
purge pile,” and decided to make a card. I think you’ll appreciate the irony,
though. The paper that I used for this card… it came from the purge pile!
The card was inspired by this Melissa Phillips card (last in the post), the above photo collage, and an Emma’s Shoppe brad that I
came across while sorting supplies.
My daughter is working on a documentary about pregnancy and
has asked me to make some baby cards. One of the mom’s is expected to have her
baby girl early next week, so I thought I’d go traditional with this very pink
card. And it felt so very good to be using my supplies rather than just sorting
them.
For a list of all the pretty pink projects, click on over to
Nichole’s blog. Thanks for stopping by.

Adorable baby card, sweet little details. I'm thinking you have a great purge pile.
So Pretty Nancy! Love the baby onesies :)
Lovely! Thanks for tips on mentioning PTI. Unfortunately I don't have any at the moment, but working on getting some.
Nancy keep this paper its so darling! I love all the gorgeous layers on this beauty … Bet your daughter will be proud to give this one out.
Oh my goodness - this is wonderfully done!
Very pretty Nancy! Love the vellum pocket and the silver with the pink.
So sweet! I love all the gorgeous details!
Nancy I laughed out loud when I saw that you used paper from the purge pile for your card!! Totally something I would do. Your card is beautiful, the crinkle ribbon is fabulous!
Very sweet! Love the silver embossing!
Nancy, this is SO adorably SWEET!
Lots of pretty details.
I can so relate to your "purge pile" comment. Ha!
Adorable card! I love the hexagon background.
Nancy, your card is absolutely darling.
Love your card - so sweet!
so pretty!!
What a pretty card!! Love all the layers and the bow is the perfect touch!
This is so stinkin' sweet...love it!
Super cute!!!!
Very pretty! I'm with you on the purge pile, I would totally do the same thing!
Too funny, that is EXACTLY what I'm in the middle of, sorting papers to purge. You're SO RIGHT, it does get tiring making those decisions. I always think of a million different ways to use the old paper, and then think, "but I haven't used it in years so it should go" and then can't decide. Great job using your purge paper ... it's lovely! And good luck with the rest of your sorting.
Such a pretty, sweet baby card.
I absolutely love this card! I've got to make myself stop & organize my stuff before I have no space to work! Good for you working on that project, but so glad you stopped to make this inspiring card!
I just love this!!!!
Love the layers on this card & agree it is so hard to purge papers - I have done it before and am now very picky about what comes home with me.
Beautiful card and very funny story. Love this. And thank you so much for the heads up on the address links for my entry. Duh! I did not know how to link properly, ever, until you pointed this out.
Oh this is so sophisticated - love the gold, vellum and beautify shabby ribbon!
Super sweet card! Love the heart on the onesie and that pretty bow is FAB!
Such an adorable card. Good thing you didn't purge that paper.
What a sweet card. Love the different textures (heat embossing, glassine, ribbon...). The white embossed motive looks darling on the little pocket.
PS: to get back to your comment... I would have used different washi tape on my card and made the background splashes darker on my card. LOL! I am a tough judge on my cards!
Hello Nancy, wonderful baby card so many lovely details
This is such an elegant vintage style card!
So sweet & pretty!
I love your beautiful card! And that the paper came from the purge pile! I need to sort my papers so badly!
This is sooooo pretty! Love how you used the hexagon die, thanks for the inspiration!
